Beach Elopement in Samara Costa Rica || Jenelle + Brad:
I might be slightly biased here (OK, heavily biased 😉), but how awesome is a trip to Costa Rica to celebrate your birthday? Especially a big birthday like ringing in a new decade AND during the middle of the cold, frigid winter back home in Canada?! Yep, that’s what I thought…a birthday vacation in Costa Rica is just what the doctor ordered! So as Janelle and Brad started planning their trip to celebrate Janelle’s 30th, they also got to thinking…why not elope on the beach in Costa Rica too?!
But once Janelle + Brad’s parents heard their Costa Rica elopement plan, the elopement quickly evolved into an intimate wedding with Janelle and Brad’s closest family and friends. (P.S. this typically is what happens when you tell your family you’re thinking of getting married in Costa Rica…everyone wants to go!) So after their close family and friends heard the elopement plans, Janelle + Brad decided they were going to surprise the rest of the family and friends by keeping the elopement secret!
Janelle and Brad were the epitome of laid back and adventurous elopement couple. From the moment Janelle and I chatted about our Chihuahuas in our initial emails, I really knew it was going to be a blast photographing these two. (Yes, I did ask Janelle to bring their Chihuahua to Costa Rica to be a part of their elopement…but they also have a very cute Pitbull and they didn’t want to play favorites!) Their elopement on the beach in Sámara, Costa Rica definitely was an intimate celebration of their love. And the icing on their elopement cake?! An emerald Toyota FJ40 that just so happened to be parked at their AirBnb to use for photos! Felicidades you two!
