Kristen was amazing. For our elopement at the Westin she knew all the cool spots for pictures. She went the extra mile to make sure the background looked amazing, clearing things that may have obstructed the view. Being such a kind and positive soul, she really made us feel relaxed in front of the camera. My friends have told me they have never seen me look so happy in pictures! My husband and I recently visited Costa Rica to celebrate 10 years of marriage. We wanted to do a private vow renewal and photos on the beach. After searching options Google we decided that we really liked the emotion and photographic authenticity that we saw in Kristen’s gallery. Since my husband and I also photograph weddings we tent to be a bit picky, but Kristen seemed perfect, both the finished image and how she described her method of working with couples.

She did not disappoint, before, during or after. Before, she helped me connect with the florist of my choice. During the session, Kristen was totally laid back. We were definitely in sync. She listened to what we wanted and she made sure that we were posed to downplay our imperfections. She was super personable. She joked around with us so that she could capture REAL smiles. As a photographer I am comfortable behind the camera but often hate what I see when I am photographed by others. The finished photos exceeded my expectations. I loved the realness so much that I was not concerned with my imperfections. I was surprised by a sitting pose that she suggested, as I realized it was the perfect mixture of showcasing us naturally while hiding my 43 yr old tummy. Beyond that, this is the first photo session where I could see my smile showing real joy. I will love these photos (and the experience) for my whole life!

We have already received tons of compliments on our photos, but most importantly to me, when I look at the photos I remember how special the vow renewals were, I see how completely in love my husband and I are after ten years, AND at a time when I feel very self conscious about my aging body I feel beautiful when I see myself in Kristen’s photos.

My finance and I recently had an elopement shoot with Kristen in April. We’ve been going to Tamarindo for a few years now and so decided that’s the spot to get married at. I went online to search for photographers in CR, and Kristen was one of the recommended photographers. I checked out her reviews, and her portfolio online and contacted her immediately. Kristen was super responsive and very helpful if you need other vendor recommendations / information of CR in general.

We met Kristen on the day of the shoot, she’s friendly, funny and relaxing to work with. We had booked the 1.5 hour photo session and she doesn’t make you feel rushed for time. In fact, she took us to 3 different site locations! We received the photos from Kristen within a few days after the shoot, and the photos looks great!
