Dog Photography, Tamarindo, Costa Rica: Maverick + Donna –
Ahhhh, the dog’s life. Sleep, eat, play, love, eat, repeat. Canines certainly have pretty good lives! Then there are the beach dogs in Tamarindo, Costa Rica. Let’s just say that they have hit the doggy jackpot, considering that the majority of them were once abandoned and now they not only still get to play at the beach every day, but also have a loving home. Yes, I think I would like to come back in my next life as my rescue Chihuahua, Gidget!
Meet Maverick. Six months ago he was abandoned, living off of trash in Tamarindo. Then the oh-so-awesome Donna came to his rescue and he now has a forever home. Beach walks are a daily occurrence, as is daily cuddles (all seventy pounds of him) with his mom Donna. Maverick could not be more of a love bug!!
Well, I couldn’t resist the opportunity to photograph this awesome beach dog this past week! Maverick and Gidget had a blast running up and down the beach, and Donna and I couldn’t stop laughing at the crazy antics of our two dogs. Let’s just say being off leash at the beach = heavenly freedom. Enjoy!
