Family Photography in Tamarindo Costa Rica – Paeltz Family:
It was only a moment, but it was one of those moments that will be treasured forever. The first time her feet touched the sand on the beach in Tamarindo, little Amellia let out a sound of glee. Within minutes she was wiggling around in the wet sand, fully enjoying this new experience, her first time at the beach. Yes, truly a beautiful and wonderful moment.
It’s hard to believe that a whole year has flown by since I last saw Amellia’s parents, Kara and Justin. Little Amellia was still baking in her mom’s belly and I had a wonderful time photographing Kara’s growing bump. A year later and now Kara’s bump only a moment in time – – but a beautiful and documented moment. I’m truly beyond blessed to not only photograph one moment, but two beautiful moments for the Paeltz family.
Just like last year, the Paeltz’s and I were ever so fortunate to dodge Costa Rica’s rainy season afternoon rain storms. A quick passing sprinkle brought a refreshing afternoon breeze and the sun sparkled through the puffy clouds. We rounded up Amellia’s grandparents for some photos before Amellia, Kara, and Justin got a tad bit sandy, playing in the low tide gentle waves.
In addition to being my camera bag guard dog, my little Chihuahua Gidget provided lots of laughs and gorgeous smiles for Ms. Amellia. I seriously think I may need to raise Gidget’s pay as she just added entertainment to her job description! To top off a beautiful afternoon of Amellia’s first time at the beach, the rain clouds and exposed wet sand from low tide set the stage for a magical sunset.
Words can’t describe how grateful I am to have awesome clients like the Paeltz family. From their baby bump photos last year to photos of little Amellia’s first time at the beach, I’m so blessed to work with clients that turn into beautiful friends. After a busy year of a new baby, new work endeavors, and selling one home and moving to another, I’m so glad these three were able to come back to Costa Rica! Thank y’all for such a fun family photo session last Sunday, incredible sunset and all!
