How much time do I need to plan a wedding in Costa Rica?

Costa Rica is a very popular wedding destination so vendors and venues tend to book up fast, especially in wedding hot spot locations like Tamarindo. Unlike the wedding industry in the United States, a limited amount of options (but amazing!) are available for vendors. One major benefit of having a destination wedding in Costa Rica is the possibility to have your wedding on any day of the week, not just on a weekend. Your wedding guests may make a vacation (or mini-vacation) out of your destination beach wedding in Costa Rica, so they will be available to attend a wedding during the middle of week. Depending on how large and detailed a wedding, I suggest minimum six months to a year to plan your wedding in Tamarindo – – more time is suggested if your wedding is during high season. Also, this gives your wedding guests sufficient time to book flights and accommodations.
