Intimate Costa Rica Waterfall Elopement || Nicole + Martin:
At the foot hills of Costa Rica’s volcanoes and the beginning of Guanacaste’s arid landscape lies a picturesque waterfall oasis. During the dry season, summer months in Costa Rica, Llanos de Cortes waterfall is a perfect sanctuary for Costa Ricans, known as Ticos, as well as tourists looking to escape the hot sun. On their first trip to Costa Rica, Nicole and Martin were mesmerized by the beauty of Llanos de Cortes, especially since the couple’s first date was spent at a waterfall in Arkansas. So after Martin proposed, what better place to elope to than to return to Llanos de Cortes for an intimate Costa Rica waterfall elopement?
To say that everything about Nicole + Martin’s wedding under a waterfall in Costa Rica was simply magical would be spot on. As we arrived at Llanos de Cortes, several buses of tourists were packing up in the parking lot. We descended the path down to the waterfall and practically had the waterfall to ourselves, with only a handful of tourists enjoying the brisk waters. As Nicole and Martin began to exchange their vows, everyone cleared out of the water, giving the couple a moment to take in the waterfall to themselves. The clouds provided a soft light, thankfully holding back rain. Magical, it all was simply magical – – and oh-so-perfect for Nicole who rocked Cinderella’s “Glass Slipper” Disney Wedding Dress by Alfred Angelo.
Pura Vida,
Kristen
