Intimate Destination Beach Wedding in Costa Rica  || Amber + Josh:

The beauty of relationships is that every single one is different. In all of the weddings, elopements, honeymoons, and anniversaries sessions that I’ve had the pleasure to photograph, every single one of my couples’ have a different love story. Some relationships are like fresh baked bread hot out of the oven, rising quickly, and others are like wine, friendly grape juice at first, but then evolving into a romantic full bodied red. And both are equally delicious when made with love and the right ingredients. So where am I going with this relationship-food analogy you ask? I promise I haven’t gone completely loca!

Meet Amber and Josh. Shortly after moving to Portland 10 years ago, Amber met Josh at a rock climbing gym. They hit it off, started dating, but then decided to simply be friends. Grape juice. The years went by and as their friendship grew, it evolved back into dating again. Like a delicious wine, Amber + Josh’s relationships needed time to age to be just right. 10 years after they first met at that rock climbing gym in Portland, Amber + Josh were ready.

Surrounded by their closest family and friends, the couple had an intimate destination beach wedding in Costa Rica. The setting could not have been more perfect for this adventurous couple with the setting sun and Panga boats in the Tamarindo rivermouth. Amber’s mom led the ceremony, happy tears were shed, followed by a delicious celebration dinner down the beach at Johnny Tamarindo. Congrats you two! A beautifully aged bottle of red indeed!
