If you’re fueled by sandy toes and salt air, love to laugh your butt off, obsessed with breathtaking sunsets, and always up for an adventure, we’re gonna be perfect for each other. Whether it be a surprise proposal, engagement, anniversary, honeymoon, maternity, birthday, or just because, I promise you’re gonna have one heck of a fun time…promise.
Because I’m not about awkward poses, but rather Those real moments and you simply being you.
The little things and those big feelings, like you radiating with pure happiness or your babe wiping away tears rolling down your cheeks because you two are laughing so hard.
The big moments, the loud ones and the quiet ones, the in-betweens, the ones you don’t think anyone else is watching.
I’m about capturing who you really are and making this experience fun from beginning to end. Yep, even if you think you’re not photogenic (spoiler alert – models even have to practice being photogenic!) or if your significant other dislikes taking photos, they’ll soon be saying how much fun they’re having — promise.
So if don’t mind getting your clothes a little sandy and maybe hopping in ocean, tell me what you’d like captured and let’s create something beautiful together!

Tamarindo has a special way of bringing people together. Like Laura + Richie, who met each other in this tropical beach town a couple of years ago. I had the pleasure of knowing the two of them before they met each other, and the first time I saw them together, I could feel that they had something special. Fast forward to 2020, with Costa Rica’s borders closed and the whole world on lockdown because of the ‘Rona, COVID brought Laura + Richie even closer together.
There’s always a chance of rain in the afternoon in the South from June to September…hello hot and humid weather creating popup thunderstorms! So you can imagine how interesting it is trying to schedule photo sessions in the late afternoon in Savannah in the summer — you want to take advantage of the late afternoon’s soft lighting, but you also..
Ashley and I first met back when we both lived in NYC. Both fresh out of college, I can still remember the day I met Ashley — I walked over to her cubicle at work and Ashley simply radiated with her gorgeous smile and impeccable work fashion. We bonded over work, and most importantly J.Crew and Anthropologie.
With the intention of creating minimalist, sustainably made accessories that honor the traditional skillsets of the region in which they’re made, while providing safe, fair employment and supporting the local economy, a couple of years ago Deanna started developing LIYA Collective’s first collection of classic silk scarves while living in Bangkok.
Just before the world shut down with the global pandemic, Tiffany + Jason hopped on a plane to Costa Rica to celebrate their ten year anniversary surfing at Witch’s Rock Surf Camp. Amidst so many unknowns and Costa Rica closing it’s borders half way through their trip, Tiffany and Jason made the most of their getaway — it was beautiful, memorable, romantic…
Down a bumpy, dirt roads lies Nosara Costa Rica (officially known as Playa Guiones). Over the past ten years, this small beach town has become quite the hot spot for surfers and yogis. Nosara is nestled in between a beach preserve and rolling hills, a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Dating apps can get a bad rap. But then there are dating app couples like Sintha and Vinny who just make you smile when you hear their stories. You see, Sintha wasn’t even on Tinder a week before she met Vinny…
They say rain on your wedding day is good luck. And they said rain on day of your anniversary photo session is extra luck. Wellllll, it rained on Kelsey + Tony’s wedding day AND for their beach anniversary photos in Costa Rica, so they definitely are 1000000% lucky.
Five years ago Trixee and Chris met at work. Little did they know then that a work friendship would lead to an engagement and wedding in Trixee’s home island state of Hawaii next year. So with a planned trip to Costa Rica, what better place (besides Hawaii that is!) to do engagement photos for their Hawaii wedding announcement?

I’m lucky enough to have worked with Kristen on a few occasions while spending time in Costa Rica and each time I’m blown away by what she captures in her photos. She truly has such a talented eye for creating a photo and is VERY skilled at making me giggle and ‘naturally’ emote as I’m not always so comfy in front of the lens. She has such natural talent to set up a scene with the BEST lighting and atmosphere and can respond quickly to disruptions or changes in weather (rain!). I treasure my photos! And she has a pretty cute assistant (aka Gidget her lil Chihuahua!)
Kristen is a brilliant and talented photographer. My fiance hired her to take pictures of our engagement and then have a photo shoot on the beach afterwards, and it was an amazing experience. Kristen was engaging, fun and a pleasure to work with. She also got us our photos so quickly and they are just amazing! – Leila + Milver
Kristen was absolutely wonderful to work with! She made us feel relaxed and comfortable – very down to earth and professional, as well! My husband is very anti-posing/anti-getting pictures taken and he ended up having a great time with her and was very relaxed, goofing off, and almost having fun (shhh don’t tell him I wrote that)! We did a trash the dress session after photos on the beach, in went Kristen with her camera and everything! Pretty sure this wasn’t planned on her part since she went in the ocean wearing her clothes to get the perfect shots. It was a blast! Thank you thank you thank you, again! – Brittany + Kyle
Kristen is awesome! She was an absolute pleasure to work with while planning and executing a surprise proposal shoot for my fiance and I in Tamarindo. Kristen helped me plan everything from the time and date of the photos to where I would pop the question. I couldn’t have done it without her. Above that the photos are absolutely beautiful. –Trey + Michelle
