Photographer Nosara Costa Rica – Lifestyle Photos Kim –
Nosara, you are stealing my heart. A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure to familiarize myself with this surf town while on a work-turned-surf trip, wandering around its every nook & cranny, and photographing its charm. Between dawn patrol surf sessions and photographing a wedding at La Luna Restaurant, I had a blast capturing some great lifestyle photos for mi amiga Kim. To say the least, my creative wheels were spinning and to top it all off, I experimented with a manual film lens from the 1970s, a Nikkor 24mm 2.8, on my Nikon DSLR. I know, I am geeking out right now – but once a nerdette, always a nerdette!
Kim and I explored jungle pathways at the Harmony Hotel, chased a beautiful sunset in Playa Guiones, and pretty stopped every 100 yards on our walk through Nosara to take photos at all those nook and crannies. One of those cool nooks was Go Juice Nosara, a vibrantly painted juice truck located on the Northern end of Playa Guiones. What better way to make the image really pop than to wear an even more vibrant fire engine red surf bikini by MI OLA?
Imagine my excitement when we encountered an exploding blowhole created from the incoming waves in Playa Pelada in Nosara? Let’s just say that Kim, our friend Christina, and I had a tad bit of fun timing when the hole was going to explode with an incoming wave during a golden afternoon in Pelada. Now I just have to figure how to get one of these blowholes in Tamarindo!
Going through and culling the photos from this adventure in Nosara was beyond fun. In fact, I had such a hard time picking out the best shots from all the different locations and outfit changes. In addition to chasing sunsets on the beach, wandering around Harmony Hotel, hanging out at Go Juice Nosara, fooling around with blow holes, we also had fun playing with palm tree shadows and beautiful bougainvillea bushes, hanging out in an uber cool capsule, shopping at Love Nosara, knocking on a beautiful wooden gate, and enjoying fresh coconuts at Nosara Surf Hotel. Phew, I think that is it…
If you ever are in Costa Rica, I highly recommend checking out Nosara and surfing Playa Guiones. Till then, I hope you have enjoyed my photographic adventures exploring this cool surf town.
XOXO,
Kristen
