Living in a beach town in Costa Rica you need to be resourceful. Resourceful as in who can I ask to sherpa a new Mac hard drive from the United States because my laptop just crashed??? #livinginaforeigncountryproblems Or resourceful as in I am going to my yogi friend’s baby shower and the nearest Babies”R”Us is definitely not around the corner. Oh yes, I happen to be a photographer! How about a sunset baby bump photo session? #problemsolved
Enter Anne and Elias. Anne and I had been planning for months and waiting for weeks for the right afternoon to do her maternity session. We had been hoping to catch a beautiful, end of rainy season Cumulus cloud sunset with some epic clouds in the sky, but this year the clouds seamed to disappear just as the rainy days stopped. Until last week. The clouds rolled in for their encore and Anne, Elias, and I were ever so fortunate to have a gorgeous afternoon to photograph Anne’s growing bump on the beach at Playa Langosta.
This glowing and beautiful couple hands down rocked their maternity session, despite the fact that they both commented at the beginning, “We are not very good at being in front of the camera.” Well, it took me about five seconds to warm them up and get them laughing! Proof is in the picture pudding.
I had so much fun with these two and I can’t wait to meet their little nugget, due in January. And we all can’t wait to find out if it is a boy or a girl! Surprise surprise!!!
