Playa Langosta Costa Rica Elopement: Mia + Barry –
All Mia wanted for Christmas was a proposal from the love of her live, Barry. She woke up Christmas morning and at first was disappointed. She couldn’t see the small box that she had been hoping to find under the Christmas tree. So Mia, Barry, and their one year son Easton started opening their gifts. Mia soon came across one large box for her. She opened it, only to find another small box inside, then another, and another, until finally there was a small box with a gorgeous engagement ring inside. Forgoing a ceremony back home in Spokane, Washington, the couple decided to combine their honeymoon with an elopement in Costa Rica by exchanging their vows on the beach in Playa Langosta Costa Rica.
Well, Mia’s two older sisters, Macey and Jenny, AND her sorority sister, Stephanie, were not going to just let Mia get married without her sisters by her side. Macey, Jenny, and Stephanie decided to fly down to Costa Rica to help Mia get ready for her big day, because after all who was going to do all those beautiful buttons on the back of Mia’s gorgeous wedding dress? (Don’t worry Mia, if your awesome sisters had not been there, I would have had your back!) Macey and Jenny helped Mia get into her dress and put on her “something borrowed,” their mother’s bracelet. Stephanie pinned their sorority’s crest, Alpha Phi, right above Mia’s heart.
With the finishing touches done, Mia was ready to walk down the beach aisle covered with yellow rose petals to say her “I Dos” on a gorgeous (and tad bit hot) afternoon in Playa Langosta, Costa Rica. In addition to Mia’s sisters, nephew, and brother-in-law, Barry’s brother and sister-in-law were able to join via photo cutouts mounted on a hardware paint mixer sticks. Quite creative!
After Mia and Barry’s intimate ceremony, I whisked the newlyweds away to take advantage of the oh-so-magical and golden sunset light. We explored the low tide rocks on Playa Langosta, Mia and Barry brimming with love and exchanging intimate kisses. And when a sunset horseback ride tour just so happened to pass us, the caballeros were ever so kind to lend us two of their horses for some impromptu photos.
