Playa Tamarindo Costa Rica Family Photos || Bonner Family:
Dry season in Costa Rica means no clouds in the sky for almost five months. Yep, that’s right, it’s blue and sunny skies all day, every day from December – April! And no clouds in the sky means the same simple sun passing over the horizon night after night. So last Monday when the Bonner Family and I arrived at the beach to a milky – gray overcast sky, I couldn’t believe it. And even though it was not blue skies and sunny, the milky gray sky was oh-so-perfect for family photos on the beach in Tamarindo, creating this dreamy backdrop and a super soft light for family photos. To top that off, the Bonner family could not have been more adorable — especially six month old Señorita Sydney. Sydney loved kisses from her mom, being thrown in the air by her dad, and had a huge smile on her face when her parents started to sing, with her dad playing the Ukulele.
From Toronto, Canada, the Bonner family was excited to trade the winter weather and freezing lake waves for tropical sun and turquoise waves. And the Bonner’s could not have picked a more perfect place to stay in Tamarindo, Casa Colonial. Situated on one of the hills, Casa Colonial has a gorgeous view of the beach and the Tamarindo rivermouth (what a way to check the surf!). It also is a quick walk to one of my favorite restaurants, Pangas Beach Club, where I met the Bonner’s for their Playa Tamarindo Costa Rica family photos. After leaving Sydney’s stroller at their dinner table for after photos, we headed down to the beach. To say the least, Sydney was one cute model!
