Playa Matapalo, Costa Rica (Riu Palace Guanacaste)
There is something special about Southern couples, like their effervescent kindness and walking down the aisle to country songs. Melody and Daniel were the true definition of Southern charm. Officially married earlier this year, the couple decided to have their wedding ceremony during their honeymoon in Costa Rica at the Riu Palace Guanacaste.
Melody and Daniel met through mutual friends and realized they share a love for working out…and raising their teenagers! (OK, maybe raising teenagers is a love-hate relationship.) They decided to vacation to a new country together on their honeymoon, exploring Rincon de la Vieja volcano, deep sea fishing, hiking, and meeting fun new friends at the Riu Palace.
In the middle of their adventure filled trip, Melody and Daniel said their “I Dos” on the beach before a beautiful Costa Rican sunset. Their new friends even came to congratulate this awesome couple…and celebrate with some tequila shots! And in true Southern charm, Melody even convinced me to toast to their elopement with a Chile Guaro shot.
