Sunset Proposal in Tamarindo Costa Rica || Odalys + Andrew:
For over a month Andrew had been planning the logistics of a perfect sunset proposal in Tamarindo Costa Rica to his girlfriend Odalys. He booked their AirBnb at Casa Monacita, made reservations at Pangas Beach Club to celebrate post-proposal, and secured a photographer, yours truly, to capture the special moment. And being rainy season, Andrew crossed his fingers for nice weather…especially since the plan was to propose on the beach in Tamarindo to Odalys only hours after arriving in Costa Rica!!! Thanks to the beauty of technology, Andrew and I were able to easily stay in touch for play-by-play updates to make sure his proposal went off flawlessly.
Ok, it was almost flawless, courtesy of a minor hiccup with Andrew taking a quick trip to the emergency room only two days before leaving for Costa Rica, and a slight detour of getting lost driving to Tamarindo from the airport, BUT the rain held off and those rain clouds set the stage for a magical sunset proposal on the beach!
The afternoon couldn’t have been more perfect. Tamarindo sunsets are special, especially during rainy season, and just as the sun was starting to pass over the horizon, Andrew dropped to one knee. To say the least, Odalys was completely surprised. Surprised that Andrew had picked Costa Rica to propose, and even more surprised that he had arranged a photographer to photograph the whole proposal. Congrats you two — have a great rest of your trip in Costa Rica!
