What better way to celebrate your mid-century mark than a vacation in Costa Rica? How about a lifestyle couple’s photo session on a beautiful beach in Costa Rica to celebrate the big 5-0?!?! Hopping on the oh so convenient and new direct flight from London to Liberia (LIR), Costa Rica, Kathy and Glyn spent about two weeks relaxing in paradise at the Flamingo Beach Resort in Playa Flamingo. A couple days into their vacation, they met the awesome couple, Jacinta and Ryan. Jacinta, who is also a photographer, was super excited for her honeymoon photo session with yours truly and completely sold Kathy, the birthday girl, on a photo session as a way to celebrate her birthday. Can I just say how much I L-O-V-E my clients?!
I had to surprise the birthday girl with one of my Costa Rican sunset cards!
Less than a week after Jacinta and Ryan’s honeymoon photo session, Kathy and Glyn hopped in a cab to Tamarindo to kick off Kathy’s birthday celebration a day early. And when I say kick off, I mean it – Kathy and Glyn started the photo session with a beach front, sunset cocktail at the beautiful Pangas Beach Club in Tamarindo! Kathy enjoyed a cocktail and Glyn was super excited to a cool off with a cold pint of Costa Rican craft beer, a Segua.
From the moment I met this awesome couple, they did not stop smiling and laughing. Even after seventeen years of marriage, the chemistry between Kathy and Glyn was evident. Who would have thought that the first time that they “met” over twenty years ago, Glyn caught Kathy having a good chuckle over his fancy sports car and his fashionable gym attire?! This couple sure kept me laughing, and I even gave them a good chuckle (or fright!) when I told them about the crocodiles that live in the Tamarindo estuary.
To top off a great afternoon, Tamarindo delivered an extra special sunset with magenta streaked clouds. Not a bad way to say hello to a new decade! Happy Birthday Kathy!
