Tamarindo Costa Rica Sunsets – August 2016:
The sunsets in August here in Tamarindo, Costa Rica certainly started out with a bang. Fire orange skies, pastel pinks, magenta purples – – you name it, Mother Nature painted the skies with her glorious colors. Then I had to go and travel to New York, and a result I missed a couple of stunning sunsets. Oh, how it pains me to open Facebook or Instagram and see a post of a gorgeous Tamarindo sunset while I am away! I thought the sunsets and I had this agreement that they wouldn’t show off too much while I was away…
Showing off kinda like this fire orange sunset, which definitely is in my top ten sunset bucket! The sky lit up not only over the Pacific Ocean, but also to the North and East. It started in the North with pastel shades of pink, then bounced to the East with huge magenta thunderhead clouds, and then the grand finale lit up the whole ocean in a in fire orange. In all my excitement of the beauty unfolding in front, to the side, and behind me, I decided to slow my camera shutter down and get a little motion blur sunset action.
The icing on the cake of this gorgeous sunset was a double whammy: a surfer exiting the ocean right in my camera frame AND a breaking A-Frame wave in the background. I was so focused on the sunset and the surfer that when I realized the beautiful breaking a-frame wave in the background editing the photos, I believe my censored reaction was, “Holy ‘rainbows and unicorns’, that’s a breaking a-frame wave in the background!!!” Yep, rainbows and unicorns to clean up my “French” y’all!
Enjoy these Tamarindo, Costa Rica sunsets for the month of August! AND if waiting thirty days for the monthly sunset post is like watching paint dry, head on over to Instagram and give me a follow @sambatothesea – – I post a sunset photo EVERY NIGHT! You’re welcome 😉
Pura Vida,
