Tamarindo Elopement – Meera + Chris:

Meera and her friend were enjoying a day at the beach when her friend casually asked her to pick out a guy on the beach that Meera found attractive. Out of all the guys, Meera just so happened to pick out a guy that her friend knew, Chris. And to make it even a smaller world, Meera and Chris just so happened to work for the same company. Meera and Chris hit it off and fast forward three years later, Chris proposed to Meera on the beach in Tamarindo, Costa Rica last March. Or as Chris likes to say, he “casually” pointed to the ground to divert Meera, then dropped to one knee.

In preparation for a large Indian wedding this fall, the couple wanted to elope to Costa Rica to start their marriage just like how their love for each other started – – between the two of them. Despite an hour long downpour only hours before Meera and Chris’ elopement at the Diria, the weather cleared up just in time for their ceremony. Meera glowed as she walked towards her soon-to-be husband, rocking a sweetheart, mermaid tail dress.

And even though it was just Meera + Chris, the officiant, and myself who officially witnessed their beautiful vows, the couple was surrounded by so much love and excitement as they walked down the beach after the ceremony. One of favorite parts was two surfers who created an impromptu surfboard arch, cheering them on as Meera + Chris passed through. How awesome is that? The joy and love simply radiated between the couple. Chris had Meera laughing the whole afternoon. Combined with her infectious laugh, Meera glowed with happiness. Congrats you two – – I can’t wait to see your wedding photos this fall!
