1.

Y’all enjoying your elopement & soaking in the experience while I photograph with you two, as easy as that!

An elopement is an intimate experience, and my clients appreciate that I’m more like a good friend who happens to be documenting the start of their new chapter vs a stranger with a camera.

With over 130 five star reviews on Google, I love working with my clients as much as they love working with me!

2.

“We could not be happier with our experience with Kristen! From the first inquiry email she was prompt, detailed and helpful. We decided to elope in Costa Rica without ever visiting, so it was a daunting task. I am so glad I reached out to Kristen, she recommended a stunning ceremony location, an amazing shuttle driver and the perfect reception dinner location. She went above and beyond being our wedding photographer. The day of our elopement Kristen immediately made us comfortable with her calm demeanor. My husband and I are not picture people whatsoever and we were shocked about how easy she made the whole picture process. Her coaching and tips made our poses so effortless and natural, we were amazed. She sent over our gallery so quickly and we are absolutely in love with every picture she took! Our family and friends were in awe about how well the pictures came out. I highly recommend Kristen and her services, I know we will be forever grateful we chose her for our special day.”

Real talk. You don’t go to a highly rated restaurant and expect that you’ll only be given the ingredients to your meal so that you can cook it yourself. In other words, the restaurant provides a culinary experience for you, from start to finish.

So why would you invest your time and money in having your elopement captured by a photographer, only to then have to spend your time navigating a printing & design process that can be daunting and time consuming all by yourself?

Or worse, you realize years later that you never even printed your elopement photos because it kept getting pushed down on your to-do list?

This was exactly what happened with my cousin’s wedding photos (taken by another photographer). 3+ years after her wedding, she came to me asking for help, admitting that she still hadn’t printed ANY images from her wedding because every time she sat down to start the process, she just couldn’t decide and felt overwhelmed.

I get it. At the end of the day, you simply want to relax and spend time with your loved ones, not be back on the computer figuring out where to buy quality prints, in which sizes & how to crop for those sizes, what format is best, which images to print, where to hang or display prints, etc. Talk about analysis paralysis!

That’s why you’re investing in a professional photographer.

When you work with me, in addition to an effortless elopement photo experience and photos even more beautiful than you could’ve imagined, you also receive my white glove printing experience when your images are delivered.

My printing expertise helps you to easily turn your beautiful elopement photos into heirloom artwork to display in your home, and meant to last to pass down to your next generation.

*You can also always handle printing your images with the photo lab of your choice as your images come with a personal printing rights license.*

How it works:

Your elopement memories deserve to be printed and displayed in your home on your walls and coffee table, and with my white glove printing experience that will happen with ease because I’ll be your print-fairy godmother.

I work with you to make this process smooth, efficient, and fun. After a quick chat about your favorite images in the gallery, your home decor, wall space, as well as potential gift ideas for family members (parents and grandparents LOVE prints and albums!), I’ll suggest the best printing options that works best for your family & home.

From there, all you need to do is approve and/or make minimal changes, and then we can submit your order (including using your $100 print gift card) to get your elopement photos printed.

In other words, there is no need to use your precious time to navigate this printing process yourself, only to delay months (or years) to finally get your elopement photos printed, because I’m here for you to make sure you do!

¡hola hola!

I'm Kristen & it's nice to connect with you!

10+ ago I retired from the hustle and bustle of the NYC corporate banking world, trading in my heels for a surfboard and camera in Costa Rica. My photography work has been featured & published internationally in Harper’s Bazaar, Coastal Living, American Express, and Real Simple, to name a few (eek!).

I love dancing with waves, chasing sunsets, beach strolls with my sassy pants Chihuahua named Gidget, laughing my butt off, and you helping you have one heck of a fun elopement experience.

I’m a photographer for the adventure loVing suNset dreamers & wild at heaRt.

So if you’re fueled by sandy toes and salt air, down to getting a ‘lil wet playing in the waves and wanna see my little Chihuahua Gidget do tricks for ya, obsessed with breathtaking sunsets, value your experience over perfectly posed photographs, and cherish photography with substance, depth, and story we’re gonna have one heck of a good time!

next steps

To book your elopement session I require a $250 non-refundable deposit (as once you book, I’m turning away other clients in order to serve you on your date) and a signed photography agreement, both of which can be easily completed electronically.

If you have any questions, simply reply back to your inquiry email. If you know exactly which package you’d like, let me know via your inquiry email and from there we’ll start working to officially get your elopement on my calendar.

If you are unsure about which hourly package is best for you, we can schedule time to chat — I promise, no awkward sales pitches, just what is best for you. There is always the option to add more time to your elopement photography coverage after you book and before your elopement.

I can’t wait to welcome you and your loved ones to the Samba to the Sea familia!

In their words

“Kristen is fun and professional. I found Kristen while browsing some pictures of Costa Rica on Instagram and fell in love with her sunset photography. She was easy to talk to and her presentation of her services was easy to read and professional. She gave advice on places for hair and makeup and helped us to set up a dinner reservation for dinner after our elopement. She took beautiful photos of our elopement and made the process comfortable and fun. I love looking back on that day and I am so glad I hired someone who was able to capture it so perfectly. On one of the most important days of your life you want to be surrounded by people who you vibe with and Kristen was it. Thank you so much for capturing our special day!!!”
