“I was (and still am!) extremely pleased with Kristen and her professional photography services. Six months ago I decided to go ALL OUT for my 32nd birthday so I gifted myself two designer swimsuits and an international trip to Costa Rica for a photoshoot. I had never been to Costa Rica so the search to find a photographer to capture my dreams was daunting. After a few hours on Google I came across Samba to the Sea and my prayers were answered! Kristen’s timely and detailed correspondence combined with a gallery on the website with a diverse collection of ‘occasions’ (? I was super hesitant when sending out the initial email, because I wasn’t exactly sure if what I was asking for was possible. Kristen responded within a couple hours (probably even sooner) and it felt like the two of us were having a conversation over coffee – that she was a friend who knew exactly what I was looking for. I had asked for a “feel good photoshoot” and Kristen certainly delivered. While I would’ve liked to have had the beach portion of my shoot at sunset, the unpredictable Costa Rican weather moved our shoot up a few hours. I'm Kristen & it's nice to connect with you!

10+ ago I retired from the hustle and bustle of the NYC corporate banking world, trading in my heels for a surfboard and camera in Costa Rica. My photography work has been featured & published internationally in Harper’s Bazaar, Coastal Living, American Express, and Real Simple, to name a few (eek!).

I love dancing with waves, chasing sunsets, beach strolls with my sassy pants Chihuahua named Gidget, laughing my butt off, and giving you one heck of a fun photo session experience.

I’m a photographer for the adventure loVing suNset dreamers & wild at heaRt.

To book your photo session I require a $250 non-refundable deposit (as once you book, I’m turning away other clients in order to serve you on your date) and a signed photography agreement, both of which can be easily completed electronically.

If you are unsure about which package is best for you, we can schedule time to chat — I promise, no awkward sales pitches, just what is best for you. There is always the option to add more time to your session after you book and before your session.
