Wedding Cakes Tamarindo Costa Rica – Victoria Zoch:
Beautiful wedding cakes, sweet pastries, cake pops, alfajores, cinnamon rolls…oh my! I don’t think there is a wedding cake nor sweet desert that the amazing Victoria Zoch can’t bake. Gluten free, vegan, dairy free, or just good ole standard ingredients, you wouldn’t even know the difference as ALL of her confectionary sweets taste soooooo good! Did I mention her treats are a work of art?
Whether I am photographing her beautiful work at a wedding or admiring her work from the photographs that she shares, I want to eat everything Victoria makes. Just looking at a photograph makes my mouth water!
In addition to Victoria’s talent, she also is one of the hardest working people and nicest people that I know. Even after baking all week, delivering four wedding cakes and pastries in one afternoon, all in different locations in Guanacaste, Victoria always has a smile on her face.
I was oh-so-fortunate to catch a spare moment with Victoria to find out the story behind her beautiful cakes and desserts:
“My passion for making cakes started nine years ago when my family moved to the area of Guanacaste, Costa Rica and I realized there was a need and opportunity for work. I started with basic and simply designed cakes and I gradually started studing and acquiring technical knowledge to make elaborate cake designs according to current techniques. The dessert tables were introduced gradually as I really like the mini desserts and pastries in general. I really care that my product is unique in taste and quality because that makes the difference in each event. The cakes with sugar flowers is definitely what I love to do most because since my childhood, I have loved to be creative and make art. It is something I’ve always transmitted in my work! I strive to make each cake a special artwork for my clients – it is part of their memory of their special day.”
