Wedding in Playa Ocotal Costa Rica || Ashley + Kyle:
It’s often said the best partners in life are ones that complement each other. Like a glass of cold milk with a freshly baked, warm chocolate chip cookie. Or a sweet fierceness to a confident kindheartedness. Meet Ashley and Kyle. A little over four years ago these two serendipitously met through mutual friends. At the time, Ashley was contemplating moving away for a fresh start. But then she met Kyle and her family and friends began to notice how happy she had become. Ashley began to think less and less about moving away. And one day, Ashley’s sister Kirsten saw a photo of Ashley with a super cute guy on Facebook. Kirsten immediately went into older sister and best friend mode, researching to find out who this new guy was. After all, Ashley was known to be notoriously picky with guys, so this one had to be special if Ashley had posted a photo with him. Flash forward one awesome proposal during the solar eclipse in Nebraska last August, Ashley and Kyle last Friday made their complementary pairing official at their destination wedding in Playa Ocotal, Costa Rica.
Ashley and Kyle’s wedding at Villa Cascada was exactly what they wanted: surrounded by close family and friends, a welcomed tropical vacation from the Canadian winter, one heck of a multi-day celebration, and nothing but a stress free Costa Rica wedding. Some tears of pure happiness were shed amongst the group, and a whole lot of laughs and new memories.
Ashley wore a gorgeous wedding dress by Paloma Blanca — as her family and friends said, it was oh-so-Ashley. Following their late afternoon beach wedding ceremony, the group headed back to Villa Cascada for cocktails, a delicious dinner, and of course, the party! Even though Ashley and Kyle’s beloved dog Pippa couldn’t attend the wedding in Costa Rica, Ashley’s eldest sister made a special MC announcement that Pippa sent a congratulatory “ruff” and lots of licks. And to top off one beautiful destination wedding in Costa Rica, the first rain of the season started to fall just as Ashley + Kyle’s family and friends were toasting the new couple — and you know what they say about rain on wedding days = good luck!
