Oh my, how the last ten years have flown by for Kristen and Jeff! After dating for nearly a decade, this couple from Calgary, Canada last year decided to get married. It just felt like the right time. They started brainstorming places to elope to say their “I Dos”. It needed to be different and unique, someplace other than Mexico. Then the lightbulb lit up – how about to elope in Costa Rica?! It sounded perfect.

After several months of planning, Kristen and Jeff left the cold behind in Calgary last week to elope in Costa Rica. From the moment that I met this awesome couple at Cala Luna Boutique Hotel in Playa Langosta, I knew we were going to have a fun time photographing. Kristen and Jeff were so natural with each other, despite their apologies for being awkward in front of the camera. Heck to the no! Nope, even after dating for ten years, Kristen and Jeff were radiating with love for one another. Throughout our session, Jeff loved snuggling up to Kristen to make her laugh. And whenever Kristen glanced over at Jeff, her face lit up. To answer one of their questions, no, I don’t get tired of photographing couples because I love capturing that pure and radiating love that each couple shares.

To say the least, I had a blast photographing these two the day before their elopement. We explored the beautiful gardens at Cala Luna and ended the session on the beach in Playa Langosta. The sun peeked its way through the clouds right before sunset and provided us with a beautiful rainy season sunset in Costa Rica.
