Family Portraits Costa Rica – Acunto Family –
Thousands of miles from where I grew up in Northern New Jersey, and it just so happens that the Acunto family lives only a couple of towns over from my childhood home. Another reason why I love what I do; I feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to meet amazing people from all over the world, or just a couple of towns over. New Jersey representing! No wonder why I had such a wonderful taking family portraits in Costa Rica for this awesome family. Small, small, small world!
And fortunately enough, Christine was able to convince her husband, John, to do family photos while on their three-week vacation in Tamarindo. Yes, three whole weeks to explore and relax in Tamarindo! Staying at Tamarindo Breeze, the Acunto’s have played on the beach, enjoyed watching the Howler Monkeys play in the trees every morning, and eight-year-old AJ has even caught the surfing bug! On a Summer sabbatical, John and his family will be heading to Long Beach Island (LBI for my Jersey folk!) on the Jersey Shore (or the beach in New Jersey for my non-Jersey folk) after their trip in Tamarindo. Costa Rica and the Jersey Shore all in one summer – that sounds like a pretty epic summer vacation to me!
To top off a great vacation in Costa Rica, the thundering afternoon rain clouds held off and helped set the stage for a beautiful Acunto family photo session on the beach in Tamarindo. AJ and little Keila immediately showed me their impressive tree climbing skills; how cute are these two?!
As the Acunto’s and I were playing on the beach, the grey rain clouds started to light up, from a fire orange to an intense magenta, as the sun started to set. I certainly had my doubts that the sky was going to light up, but once again the sunset was a showstopper.
