Guanacaste Costa Rica Wedding Photographer: Theresa + Bill –

Get married in the rain? Why not! The past two weeks I have been dodging rain storms here in Guanacaste Costa Rica, and even though the passing rain downpours tried to move Theresa and Bill’s beach front wedding ceremony indoors, this couple could not be scared off by the rain. Heck, it only took a failed date in high school, another lackluster date in college, and finally one more date many years later for Bill to finally call Theresa back to actually go on a second date, so the rain was not going to stop Theresa from marrying the love of her life. Luckily, the rain held off for just enough time for Theresa and Bill to exchange their vows on Playa Matapalo in front of their seven children!

Growing up in Rochester, the couple now calls Nashville, TN home. Even though Nashville can be quite gorgeous in June (if there is low humidity!), Theresa and Bill decided to celebrate their union with their seven kids by getting married in Costa Rica. And celebrate they did, from zipling, ATV tours, playing in the ocean AND even a trip to Nicaragua! To say the least, this group was all about fun, family, and adventure.

Fun as in photobombing their parents during their couple’s portrait session with their umbrellas.

Or jumping into the photo as their parents were kissing.

Theresa and Bill, I am so glad that you decided to get married on the beach despite the passing rain. It was such a pleasure to photograph your beautiful family and I wish you all a lifetime of love!
