Annie + David

What do you do when the ‘Rona extends out your Costa Rica destination wedding plans to 2022?

You get married surrounded by your closest family + friends in the church gardens that your grandparents planted!

Annie + David’s intimate historic Alexandria Virginia spring wedding was not their original wedding plan, but it was just as beautiful + special as their original Costa Rica wedding plans. Although the morning started off misty + foggy, just in time for Annie + David’s wedding, the afternoon sun kissed the clouds goodbye and lit up the stunning full bloom cherry blossoms. It couldn’t have been a more beautiful afternoon to kick off + celebrate Annie + David’s next chapter.

From their first meeting at a friend’s hot pot dinner where David cooked for Annie, to Annie “falling for David” during a hike, celebrating Annie’s sister’s wedding in Costa Rica (yes, I had the honor to photograph Eliza’s wedding too!), and adding their adorable fur baby Lattie to their family, Annie + David are such a complimentary, adventurous, and caring couple.

Congrats you two and I can’t wait to see y’all here in Costa Rica!

As a destination family photographer in Costa Rica, I don’t often have the opportunity to work with families year after year, capturing their family photos. But when I do have the opportunity to work with a returning family client, it melts my heart that they ask me again to capture their precious family moments — and I also love seeing how much the kiddies have grown! Three and a half years ago I had the privilige to photograph six month old Señorita Bryson…

Want to know the dilemma when you’re a photographer? You’re not in the photo because you’re the one behind the camera. Sure, you can use a tripod and set the camera to a timer, but if you really want all those moments captured, you entrust those moments to another photographer.
So when Davina + Daniel, two very talented photographers, emailed me asking if I’d capture lifestyle family photos in Costa Rica for their family of four, I was beyond honored.
