Sunset in Tamarindo Costa Rica: April 2016 –
You know the saying, “April showers bring May flowers?” Well, here in Costa Rica, April’s intense heat brings May showers. After almost six months of no rain during dry season here in Northwest, Costa Rica, the heavens opened up and blessed Tamarindo with some much needed rain this past week. I couldn’t be happier to see rain that I even started to tear up! Seriously, I never realized nor appreciated the beautiful gift of a rainy day, or passing rain storm, until I endured a dry season in Tamarindo. With rainy season now settling in, the epic thunderhead clouds are back, which sets the stage for a jaw dropping, dramatic sunset in Tamarindo Costa Rica. Can I get a heck yea!!!

Yea, last night was that good…sunset that is…

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails.

Weekend Vibes
And to top off a dramatic sunset, add in some pretty awesome clients to help set the backdrop, like newly engaged Leila + Milver, or best friends Donna + Maverick, OR a rare capture of yours truly and my Chihuhua Gidget hard at work photographing a sunset in Tamarindo, and the results are pretty awesome.

Sunset smooches
So for the next couple of months, get used to seeing some epic clouds and say adieu to those not-a-cloud-in-the-sky sunsets. Thank you dry season for challenging me to find new angles and perspectives to photograph the big ball dropping past the horizon. AND I may or may not have been slightly inspired by the sunset horseback riding tours in Tamarindo this past month. Those horses make for some pretty beautiful subjects.
